TISAX is an assessment and information-exchange mechanism run by the ENX Association, built on the VDA ISA catalogue published by the German Association of the Automotive Industry. Assessments cover information security and, where relevant, prototype protection and data protection, with results shared among participating OEMs and suppliers rather than issued as a public certificate. The current catalogue is VDA ISA 6.0.3 (April 2024). Automotive suppliers doing business with German and European OEMs are typically required by contract to hold a valid TISAX assessment at the appropriate maturity level.
